Xin 2 about
Xin 2 is adapted to the harsh continental climate of the Uyghur Region and stands out for its resilience. Its high tolerance of winter cold and common walnut diseases means its output fluctuates less from year to year.
It is also prized for its elegant, white, smooth shell reminiscent of a pebble, a taste close to Chandler, light kernels and a crunchy texture. Early bearing and steady yields make it a reliable choice for large, stable volumes. Its shell is a little thicker than 185, which reduces breakage and cracks on long-distance shipments.
The kernel’s oil content is high at 67–69 %, so it excels in cold-pressed walnut oil, walnut paste and walnut milk. The in-shell raw material costs less than 185, making it an economical choice for the food industry, bakery products and oil production.
